Pokemon Heart Gold English Patched 4 (J) (Nintendo DS)
Version 4 is out! If you dont know by know, the game has some anti-piracy checking in it. It causes the game to freeze and not save properly. This patch comes with Rudolph’s anti-piracy, but it might not be perfect.
No$GBA users, if you have version 2.6 for No$GBA, set option NDS-Cartridge Backup Media to FLASH 512KBytes. Make sure you save options and restart the emulator afterwards. Also the following code helps with the black screens,use it as AR and RAW. It is Action Replay Codes, open No$GBA >> press F2 >> Add new, type this code , ok >> Check the right stick

*** There is a limit of 7 characters for trainer names, with this, Leader Lt. Surge and Rocket Boss Giovanni had their names shortened to LtSurge and Giovani.
****Everything seems to be in English, except for the YES and NO buttons, I think they are graphics and not text.

Hey I just wanted to say thanks for all these updates. It took a long time but I finally got my Heart Gold to work (After updating the firmware to 1.1.3 on my DS-X and then doing that whole new arm7.bin thing – for those of you who have been having problems.)
The English patch is wicked! I can’t wait for your next updates
NOTE: just wanted to let you know for some reason your downloads for this patch and the soul silver one (Patched 4) weren’t working :/ I’m using the 3a one at the moment. Still good job to everyone who was involved in making this nevertheless!

Well of course there is going to a lot of Japanese still in the game. If you read the description it tells you how much they’ve translated. If you want more English in the game then wait until they’ve made more updates.

What flash card are you using? I use DS-X and I’ve never had that error… but I have had several roms which haven’t booted up – ‘Unable to read card. Turn off and reinsert the card’ or something like that. But try looking up New arm7.bin fix in google. That fixes all roms on my cart.

When i use some cheats like 100% catch rate and try to catch a pokemon (or beat that pokemon) , my game freezes….

Give the guys a chance, they are still working on it. They can’t translate it all instantly. Download the 5th patch (And most up to date so far) for main storyline up to 1st gym in English. I’m sure the other updates will come eventually. Be patient.

i load the game on my flash card but when i click on it a blue screen shows up. and its all in jap… what is the deal with the arm7.bin fix? could that be the problem?
