Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team is an RPG (Role Playing Game) developed and published by Capcom. It was launched first in Japan, in July 2005, under the name RockMan: EXE 5 DS: Twin Leaders, and later, in November 2005, and in April 2006 in North America and Europe, respectively, with the name Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team.
The game focuses on team-work, as the players need to work together in order to fulfill the extensive mission in which they need to defeat an evil organization. During this adventure, they need to acquire and use up to six Navi allies, which will help them throughout the game.
Each Battle Network found throughout the game has an array of specialized cohorts, which, along with other characters, can be obtained from other iterations, like Battle Network 4. Flashbacks and digital data that was stored in the Battle network can be uncovered, which will give the players a few hints on what they need to do throughout the game.
Battle Network 5 comes in three different versions: Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team ProtoMan and Mega Man Battle Network 5: Team Colonel, both for the Game Boy Advance, which have similar gameplay, but slightly different supporting characters and stories, and Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team DS, which includes the content from both games. Double Team, which also comprises extra content, is the first Mega Man game to be released on the Nintendo DS, and has been marketed as two games in one single package.
